About Us

In 2015 The Milngavie Community Council organised and funded a community consultation in the form of a paper and online survey.
With over 1300 completed surveys, showed that the community of Milngavie felt there was room for improvement.
A number of popular grass roots ideas were carried forward to a couple of drop in days where people were invited to vote for the projects they most liked. Many people also agreed to volunteer time to help make their ideas a reality when the time came for it!
Since then members and volunteers related to Milngavie Community Council produced a Community Action Plan (CAP) which can be downloaded here.
On January 14th 2016, there was a public meeting in the Town Hall where over 100 people turned up to study and comment on the Community Action Plan and the Milngavie Community Development Trust was set up.
